Sunday was a pretty scary day for me as a Mom. Just before church Trenton was screaming and writhing in pain, he threw up but had nothing in his stomach. He said his back and chest hurt, (Jacqueline also said that hurt back hurt in the same spot, but we just thought she was trying to get in on the attention Trenton was getting.) I ended up cuddling Trenton until he fell into a fitful sleep.
When he was fast asleep I laid him in bed and went to church to do my calling while my hubby stayed home and watched him. He was still asleep when I arrived home and sent Joe off to Church to do his calling.
A little while later, Jacqueline started complaining of the same pains Trenton had, I told her to lay on the couch and get out of her Sunday dress. She was moaning on the couch when Trenton came down and said he felt fine and when could he go to church. Soon after that Jacqueline started crying and then screaming, then writhing in pain. I was really worried, you could tell she was in some major pain.
So I called the advice nurse and told Jacqueline to put on shoes to go the ER. I was on hold for awhile, and Jacqueline was crying and moaning in the bathroom, I kept checking on her and was really worried, so I called Joe on my cell and told him he needed to come home and watch the other kids so I could take Jacqueline to the ER.
He said he had to do one last thing and would be there as fast as he could. Jennedy was sleeping and Trenton and Jerika were cuddled up on the couch watching TV, so I wrote down my cell number and Joe's, and told Jerika she was in charge and dad would be home in 15 min.
Well I went up to talk to Jacqueline and she was on the bathroom floor, naked, screaming and bawling. She said she had to puke. So I continued to wait for her and the advice nurse. Which turned out to be a good thing because after 5 min, Jerika brought Trenton upstairs, thinking dad was home, and he was in severe pain again, crying, screaming and saying his back and stomach area hurt again too.
So at that moment the advice nurse got on the phone. I told her the problems and she listened as my two children screamed and writhed in pain. I dropped the phone at one point because I was holding Trenton who was writhing in pain and was walking in to talk to Jacqueline. The advice nurse told me to go to the ER.
So I got Jacqueline dressed as she cried and screamed. Meanwhile Trenton Puked again, I was holding a bowl so it did not get anywhere thank goodness.
I picked up Trenton, grabbed his shoes and took him to the car. I handed him a bowl to puke in and ran in to carry out Jacqueline and grabbed her shoes. They were both in the car and moaning as I pulled out of the drive way. After a couple of minutes Jacqueline yells that she is throwing up. I cant help because I am on the freeway so I tell her to grab the bowl from Trenton, I look back and her mouth is closed tight filled with puke and she is grabbing his bowl. She throws up a lot and gets lots on herself.
Well we arrive at the doctors, I use a wet wipe to get some of the puke off her and go to check in.
After a long wait The ER Doc that sees us and says that they have the stomach flu and the pain was intense cramping. They both have low grade fevers and cant stop dry heaving, so The Doc gives them anti nausea meds, waits a half hour then sees if they can keep down water, then after another half hour apple juice, then sends us home with instructions to only give small amounts of clear liquid for 24 hours then slowly add small amounts of food if they don't feel stomach pain or throw up again.
So here we are on Wed, Jacqueline Is still not eating because when she does her stomach hurts, she is surviving on apple juice and Popsicles. Trenton is doing fine, he is eating and has not complained of pains since Monday.
Seriously it was a crazy Sunday don't ya think.

Oh, gosh! How scary. I'm glad it was something relatively normal.
That is amazing. Live sure has moments. Love, Mom
So sorry for the family pain and the crisis. I guess everyone has crisis though...count your blessings. Sounds like they both ate something that was spoiled or old. Because they both had the same stomach symptoms at the same time, that has to be it. What did they both eat that the others did not? Inspector Cluesoe.
How scary for you. I hate when my kids are sick. I feel so helpless. I'm glad Trenton is doing better. I hope Jacqueline will start feeling better soon. Good luck. You are one awesome mommy!
