We just got back from a fun filled trip to China. My parents are working over there teaching English at Shandong University in Jinan. So we decided that since this is their last year we would head on over and check out the other side of the world.
My parents were such excellent, wonderful, generous hosts! They kept us thoroughly entertained and busy busy busy. I'm exhausted now just thinking of all we did and saw.
Here are a few pictures of over 900 pictures we took, over the 8 days we were gone from home. A special "Thank you" to our wonderful friends and family who took care of our four children so we could go and have such an incredible time.
Black Tiger Springs FortressBar Street in Bejing
Water Boat on the Daming Lake
Taking a boat ride down the canals in Jinan to Daming Lake
Olympic Village, indoor stadiumThe Birds Nest, Beijing National stadium
The Water Cube, Bejing National aquatic center, we had a small down pour as we were walking to the olympic village, my father said, just wait a minute and people will be out selling umbrellas, and we did and sure enough people started selling umbrellas so that was fun and funny.
Temple of Heaven

Summer Palace, we took a boat ride across the lake to it and took this picture from the dragon boat.Tiananmen Square
The Forbidden City, now called The Palace Museum. It was so huge, and we walked so much that day that I got blisters on my feet. (totally worth it though.)
The Great Wall of ChinaWe also went to the open markets everywhere and the silk and pearl markets in Beijing. We shopped til we dropped literally.
I decided to make a DVD of the whole trip for us to watch for years to come and upload it to youtube so you can enjoy it too. Then I wont have to upload a million pictures to this blog. So look for that to come as soon as I get done editing.

Great Photos and great people. Yes, Tiffany you are an experienced and qualified barterer now, which as we all know pays great dividends. You have China Shopping skills! Good job on getting good deals in the silk market and the pearl markets. We are really proud of you and happy you made it home safely with so many souveniers and Cool China stuff.

All we can say is WOW. We just put our application in for going to China to teach English in 2011. So the pictures made us get so excited to maybe see the real thing also.
