So yesterday was Easter and we had such a wonderful time. The Easter Bunny hid the kids Easter baskets...so the morning began with a house wide search that went on and on, eventually they found their baskets behind this cabinet and dress up clothes box and enjoyed finding all the special treats and gifts. Then we had a fun brunch where we had a discussion about Jesus and his resurrection. It was a special time talking about how the Savior helped us all by his atonement, death, and resurrection.
Then we watched General Conference, all of it in one sitting. We have it scheduled to record on the DVR and watch it when we are ready and don't miss a thing. Plus then we can rewind it whenever we feel like we miss something or want to hear it again, or if we missed a joke. It was fun.
We printed out LDS bingo cards for the kids and they(the oldest ones) listened intently working to get their bingo cards filled. They used their Easter candy as bingo markers and ate candy throughout. We then went and decorated eggs, it was a messy, fun activity.
Until Jennedy spilled an entire bowl full of red dye and cut our decorating short as we worked to bleach the table and floor and chairs. No worries though we got that all cleaned off, but my socks and red spots on my jeans are forever dyed.
(In the picture below Trenton is upset because he is not in the position he wanted in the picture, poor little guy.)
After the decorating and special dinner cooked by dad, Joe (He made delicious Sea Bass from an Alaskan fishing trip. Super duper yummy, my husband can cook delicious fish.) We hid Easter eggs and the kids searched to find them all. After they had found them, they asked us to hide them again and we did that over and over again until bedtime. We also ate a bunch of boiled eggs, the kids love them and if one got dropped during the hunt we would just peel it and eat it. Silly and fun day.
Excellente! Perfecto!

Ahhhh, gotta love Conference Bingo.
You sure had a fun day. Love the colored eggs. We can see the happiness in the eyes of the kids. You sure are great parents. I wish I had parents like you!
