All the pictures in this post were when Tammy was 3 months old.
Tammy updates today...Yesterday doctors did a breathing test to see if Tammy would be able to breath without the machines help and guess what?!? she passed. Then they did another breathing test last night and she passed that one too so...depending on what the doctors think this morning, they will hopefully take the breathing tube out today. Come on Tammy! You can do it, use those lungs and breath! breath! breath!
Also in other good news...When the neurologists checked Tammy today she opened her eyes, was somewhat responsive, even looking at the nurse. They seem more optimistic too today. So keep those prayers coming.
This picture was taken at our house for Tammy's blessing, it has James and Karen's family as well as mine.
Tammy is being fed her mothers breast milk through a tube in her nose that goes into her stomach. We think this is so great, because what better food to get that mommy's milk.

This is such hopeful news!
Thanks for all the updates Tiffany! I check multiple times a day to see how little Tammy is! Again, send James and Karen our love and we'll still be praying!
Thanks for the updates. I'm a friend of Elisha and Adam Trask, and heard about this sad happening from them.
Prayers are definitely being said in their behalf.
We look for your daily posting to know how Tammy is doing. Thank you for all your hard studying on-line. You have been a blessing to James and Karen's family in many ways.
God blessings to you!
If I was there I would bring her a smoothie all times of the day!! SOMEONE CALL JAMBA JUICE!!!!

Oh I really hope for the best for this family. I wish nobody had to experience PCMC. I don't know if you've done this yet, but someone gave us this advice. Put up as many pictures of Tammy that you can. My cousin blew up 5 pictures which the doctors couldn't miss. We put one big one out front so everyone that walked by could see who she really was. We made a big collage on the sliding glass door. You'll be amazed at how differently the doctors and nurses will treat her. She becomes a real person to them rather than just a sick patient.
I know how hard the waiting game is. It's horrible. Just make sure to take care of yourself as well. Try to sleep, it's difficult to make important decisions if you don't. We'll be praying for you, and we hope the best for your sweet little girl! Hang in there.
Love,
The Sullengers
P.S.
Remember, YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!
Thanks for the updates on Tammy and the research you found. This helps us all feel there is hope. May the Lord bless you and your family and James and Karen and little Tammy. We are praying for you all.
I know you don't know me. I actually found your blog when I was on Ashley Sullenger's blog. I am so sorry to hear this terribly sad story. I just explained the story to my husband, because I can see this happening so easily to us. I can see myself doing the same thing in a hotel room to help our baby girl sleep. I will be saying many prayers for Tammy and her parents...along with your whole family. God bless
Thanks for keeping us updated on little Tammy! I just sent some music cd's for her to listen to - soothing nature sounds, classical, and primary music. If she starts looking around, wouldn't a colorful mobile with more classical music be great? Keep us posted - and I'll call my sis. to take Karen some smoothies.
