A rough night for Tammy

Tammy had a rough night last night, her breathing got erratic shortly after we got off of Skype with Tammy and her parents around 11pm. She would stop breathing and would resume after a while but her oxygen saturation levels got really low. It is supposed to be above 85 and at one point it got down to six. So they had to intubate her and she is a back on the Ventilator again now.


She had been coming off her anti seizure med, and the EEG found that she was having small seizures that were causing her to stop breathing. They found that the seizures were not localized in a certain part of the brain, but rather all around the brain. They are erratic and it is unknown where they are originating from. They started her on the Anti seizure med again, which puts her out so, we are still in the waiting game for her to fully wake up again.

They had to do an MRI today to try and figure out the extent of damage in her brain and where the seizures are coming from.

We will have the results tomorrow of the MRI.
